Jenny and John Jarvis offer you the warmest of welcome to our elegant and beautifully furnished bed and breakfast between Monmouth and Symonds Yat by the River Wye. Our superior b and b accommodation near Ross on Wye, Herefordshire, is situated in the Wye Valley on the edge of the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire and the County of Monmouthshire.
With its range of inclusive accommodation Portland House is considered to be one of the best venues for families and groups, besides being an ideal place to stay for couples of all ages and types.
Although we no longer require the AA to grade us we consistently achieved 4 Gold Stars Highly Commended rating and the AA Breakfast Award and chosen to be included in the AA Best B and B Handbook. The kitchen is graded 5 stars for excellence under food hygiene regulations. We also have level 2 accessibility for ground floor accommodation.
