The pretty buttercup yellow Marstow Room, (double) overlooks farmland at the rear of house, it’s sweet and attractive and cosy. You can look out the window, and share the countryside with neighbouring Hereford cows and sheep!
We aim for you to experience a wonderful night’s rest in our divine beds, all with mattress toppers to enhance the SNUGGLE factor. All our accommodation is ensuite, shaver points and hair dryers are standard. All beds have side tables and personal lights for reading and all rooms have a seating area with magazines and tourist information. 
All Suites have DVD. A service tray in each room contains a kettle, teapot and cups with teas, coffee and hot chocolate, and water. Portland ‘tit bits’ are also provided every day. A trouser press is also available as well as iron and ironing board, and guests also have use of a laundry room.

The magnificant and luxurious Monmouth Suite is on the first floor of Portland House and entered by its own entrance hallway. The large eggshell blue bathroom is complete with Victorian style bath and wall and floor tiling. Perhaps lie in the bath with a glass of champagne and let your eyes gaze up at the decadent black chandelier! The ‘Portland Four Poster’ stands proudly in the large bedroom – this unique four-poster bed made from local wood by our carpenter, with its beautiful blue drapes made by Jenny, and gorgeous gold comforter and pillows awaits to enfold you in the large comfy bed. A seating area contains a rich chocolate Chesterfield to relax upon and watch TV or a DVD whilst enjoying the contents of the service tray after perhaps a good walk! This suite is a must for couples wanting a romantic interlude and for just enjoying a bit of luxury away from the norm. Many honeymooners have adored the Monmouth Suite.

The luscious Lloyd Suite, just off the ground floor hallway, has been awarded a M2 level rating for accessibility for the disabled by the English Tourism Council. Besides being available for families it is also equipped for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility.
The attractive décor has been chosen to complement the period of the house with a double bed and 2 single beds, plus easy chairs for watching TV. The Lloyd Suite also has a small conservatory leading from the bedroom and overlooks the garden, a very special place to relax. The bedroom easily accommodates a moving wheelchair.. The Lloyd Suite has a large ensuite bathroom equipped with toilet for the disabled, shower area and wall seat as well as a spacious bath.

The richly furnished Ross Suite is a spacious 2-roomed suite privately situated on the second floor catering for a family of 5/6. With its own entrance hallway in which is found a rocking horse and a small Portland House! (a sweet doll’s house actually with furniture to arrange to the delight usually of young female guests).
King size bed in the main room, and 3 single beds in the second bedroom. The main bedroom has a large TV and DVD player, plus a seating area with table with chess or draughts. Other games and puzzles are also provided. The children’s room has its own TV. Both rooms have large windows which provide lovely views across to The Doward whilst sitting in the rocking chairs
The en-suite contains a sink, toilet and shower cubicle. .**Note: We recommend families with very young children (under 3 years of age) actually opt for the Lloyd Suite on the ground floor, which can accommodate a family of up to 5, with a double bed, 2 singles and a cot.
